Petition Procedures for Level 9 and 10 Regionals
Please review Petitioning_procedures_2018 for levels 9 and 10 regionals. New in 2018, all petitions must be entered into MEETMAKER by the same deadline of athletes who competed. If you know you are petitioning now, Region 7 is requesting all required paperwork for petitions to be emailed to Myra Elfenbein RTCC, region7rtc@comcast.net by the FRIDAY, MARCH 16, 2018. Which means you can start sending the petitions now.

The level 8 Regional Meet will be hosted by World Class Gymnastics on April 6 – 8, 2018. The meet will be held at:

At the June 15, 2017 Region 7 Committee meeting the Committee discussed, voted on and passed the increase of the qualifying score to Level 8 Regionals to a 35AA.

State Administrative Committee Chair Nominations
Nominations for State Administrative Committee Chair for all States in Region 7
are now being accepted. All nominations must be received no later than March
14, 2018 at 11:59pm. For specific details on the duties and responsibilities of the
State Chairman position please refer to the Operating Code at:

no later than March 14, 2018. Voting for the election will be April 1 -15, 2018.
All nominations must include the nominees first and last name, email address and
phone number. RACC will verify the nominee accepts the nomination and will
move forward with election procedures (refer to the operating code pages 12-14
for specifics). All nominees will need submit a resume/statement of purpose for
distribution during the election to the RACC no later than March 15, 2018.

2018 Region 7 Pre-season Prep Training Camp
Registration is now open for the 2018 Region 7 Pre-Season Prep Training Camp scheduled for July 13-15, 2018 at World Class Gymnastics, Newport News, VA.
This year’s camp will feature trampoline specialist Joy Umenhofer-Stovall who is a master at using trampoline to drill skills for artistic gymnastics.
This camp is for gymnasts planning to compete Levels 8-10 in the 2018-19 season. Level 8 is scheduled for July 13-14, Level 9/10 July 14-15. We will accept the first 100 registrants per camp on a first come, first served basis.
The registration deadline is June 1, 2018 unless the camp fills earlier. Please view this 2018 Region 7 Pre-season Prep Training Camp brochure for camp details and registration process.
2018 Lynn Perrott Memorial Scholarship
Applications are now being accepted for the 2018 Lynn Perrott Memorial Scholarship. Eligibility criteria include:
~Currently competing in the Womens Artistic Gymnastics (WAG) Junior Olympic Program (Level 8-10)
~Graduating Senior
~Plans to attend college
~Has not received a gymnastics scholarship
Eligible candidates can find the application information and review process in the attached document. Applications (with resume and essay) and references should be mailed to Linda Johnson, RJOCC.
The application deadline is April 13, 2018.
