Below is the schedule for the 2021 WV State Meet. We will be sending out session times soon, along with split for Bronze.

2021 9/10 Regional meet reminders: IMPORTANT
1. Meetmaker registration for the 2021 Level 9 & 10 Regional competition is OPEN.https://www.meetmaker.com/
2. Registration for 2021 Level 9 & 10 Regionals CLOSES March 28, 2021 at midnight. PLEASE REGISTER NOW IF YOU CAN.
3. No need to wait to register! If your athlete has received a 34.00AA or 9.0 IES at ANY USAG sanctioned event this season or last…..YOU CAN ENTER NOW! Refer to the 12/11/20 RACC minutes link here: https://www.region7usagym.com/minutes
4. You can compete on all 4 events at your State meet (if your State is having one) without risking your qualification to the Regional meet.
5. NO PETITIONS necessary. Anyone not fitting into the qualifying procedures can send a special request to Jen Bortz at JBortz7rac@gmail.com
6. PLEASE watch the Region 7 website (under: Events/Meets) over the next few weeks for updates on age groups, schedules, competition day protocols, Nationals qualifying information, etc. It is YOUR responsibility to stay informed, and we will do our best to get this information out to you in as timely a manner as possible.

I cannot do anything with the ad if you send a picture with the text of what you want to be printed with the picture. It must be already typed up, designed, and how you would want it in the program.

We are excited to announce that the 2021 WV State Meet will be held in person the weekend of April 9-11, 2021. Flipstarz will host the meet at the Beckley Raleigh County Convention Center located at 200 Armory Dr., Beckley, WV 25801. Please check USAG to register your gymnasts by March 29, 2021. The cost per gymnast is $75. We do not collect a team entry fee. Checks should be made out to Flipstarz State Meet. Please mail checks to the address below no later than April 2, 2021.

The host hotel for the meet will be The Resort at Glade Springs. The cost is $89/night plus tax. Please call to book your room, online booking will not get the special rate. Tell Glade you are with the Flipstarz State Meet. The block of rooms will be valid with the special rate up until March 31st.

Lynn Perrott served as the Region 7 Regional Administrative Chair from 1997-2014. Her first joy was working with the athletes in our region, and she worked to support their participation in the sport at all levels. She took pride in watching our athletes reaching their goals in the sport of gymnastics and continuing their gymnastics careers in college. Lynn had a positive outlook on life, even in the face of her illness. She will be remembered by her sense of humor and smile that she shared with the athletes, coaches and judges in Region 7. Lynn’s background in gymnastics began in dance, and she had a great appreciation for artistry expressed by our athletes. Lynn’s husband, Richard Martin, was active with reviewing scholarship processes and applications. He and Lynn both shared a passion for the sport of gymnastics. Sadly, Richard passed away last summer, however his daughters will continue to stay involved with the scholarship program. It is a fitting tribute to both Lynn and Richard to offer a Memorial Scholarship that will assist an athlete to continue to pursue her academic goals in college, and athletic goals in gymnastics.
The 2021 Lynn Perrott Memorial Scholarship will be offered in the amount of $5,000. to an eligible candidate that best fits the criteria offered by Lynn’s family and the Region 7 Administrative Committee.
To be considered for the scholarship, applicants must fulfill the following eligibility criteria:
• Level 8-10 Women’s Artistic Gymnastics gymnast from Region 7-currently competing in the Womens Development (formerly Junior Olympic) program
• Graduating Senior
• Plans to attend college
• Has not received a scholarship for gymnastics Interested candidates must submit the attached application, resume and essay, with 2 letters of recommendation (one must be from the athlete’s coach or coaches).
Applications and supporting documents may be emailed to Linda Johnson, USAG-WDPCC at r7jocc@gmail.com. Please put LPMS-Last Name in the subject line. All documents must be sent as attachments. Please try to submit all attachments in one email. Letters of recommendation should be on letterhead.
