Revolution Gymnastics gymnast Konnor, will be competing at the Hopes Championships in Chicago on Friday, July 24th.
The Hopes Championships are in conjunction with the U.S. Secret Classic which is a qualifier for the P & G National Gymnastics Championships. She is one of only 18 gymnasts in the U.S. who qualified in the 10 – 11 year old Hopes Division. Konnor is also a member of the U.S. Developmental Team where she trains with her coaches at the Olympic Training Center in Houston 9 times a year.
Good Luck Konnor!
The 2016 WV State Meet is scheduled for March 12-13.
An updated bid form will be provided in the upcoming months and the deadline will remain as December 1.
There has been a change for how level 8 vaulting works. Originally, a level 8 could preform 2 vaults and they would be awarded the higher of the two scores.
With the recent change to the rules, level 8’s will be rewarded the score of the second vault regardless of score. The intend is to increase safety for this level. For example, if a level 8 scores a 9.2 on vault and scratches the second vault, they will be awarded the 9.2. If they were to do the second vault and were to roll out of it and score an 8.7, they would be awarded the 8.7.
If there are any questions, please contact me at wvusag@gmail.com. I will also post the minutes from the national meeting that included this change when I receive them.

Saturday, April 4th, the WVU Gymnastics team will be hosting one of the six NCAA Regional Championships in the WVU Colesium. The meet will begin at 4pm.
West Virginia secured their regional spot last weekend when the team finished 2nd to #1 Oklahoma at the Big 12 Championships. WVU will be hosting #2 Florida, #11 Stanford, # 14 Illinois, #19 Arkansas and #25 New Hampshire this weekend.
Please remind your parents and athletes of the meet. Lets have a strong WV showing to support our Mountaineers, especially senior Beth Deal from Parkersburg in her final gymnastics meet. Beth has been a beam standout during her 4 years on the team and has represented the WV program well. Also competing will be freshman Amanda Bowman of Charleston along with 23 other region 7 gymnasts.
The results from the 2015 WV State Meet are now available.
