Please check your emails for the declaration form. All forms are due by February 12, 2024. Every gym is required to declare their gymnasts, even if they choose to not compete at the State meet.

The 2024 WV State Meet will be hosted by FlipStarz Gymnastics.

Due to a scheduling conflict, Ryan is unable to be our bar clinician. However, we are excited to announce Brian Amato, from Nebraska, will be his replacement.

Brian is the 2023 WCGA Co-Regional Assistant Coach of the Year. He will be entering his 4th year with the Huskers. Last year not only did he help them to a postseason berth, he also helped them record the schools 10th best uneven bars score in school history hitting a 49.5, twice!

Before Nebraska, Brian worked for Oregon State. Among his many accolades there he helped lead the team to a 6th place finish at the 2019 NCAA Championship.

Amato is the current Vice-President of the Women’s Collegiate Gymnastics Association.

The WV State Clinic will be held at WVU’s Cary Gym. Make checks payable to WVUSAG and mail to PO Box 328 Glen Daniel, WV 25844. Please only send one check per gym. Registration is online.

As many of you wrapped up your season this past weekend, Congratulations on another successful season for your gyms and gymnasts!
Just a reminder about reimbursements. I need your W-9 for entry fee reimbursements and days on the floor. If entry fees came out of your gym booster club, the W-9 would need to be for the booster club. If it came from you personally, it will need to be your personal W-9.
Morgan announced in each coach meeting at States that you would need to send in your amount of gymnasts for entry fee reimbursement and how many days you were on the floor at regionals and nationals. Please include Xcel Regionals for Diamond and Sapphire gymnasts ONLY.

State Clinic details are in the works. We will get those out ASAP.

Please send in any accomplishments your gymnasts received this season so Morgan can post it on the website.

Lastly, we are taking nominations for new positions on the board.
Specifically looking for Treasurer and Qualification/Score Manager. Please send in your nominations by Monday, June 19th to Chelsi.

Who:   All level 10 gymnasts who compete at 2023 JO Nationals are qualified! 

PLEASE NOTE:  This camp is structured first by inviting all 2023 Level 10 DP National qualifiers to the camp FOLLOWED BY Level 9 Eastern competitors, ranked using AA score from 2023 Eastern’s (all age groups combined) provided they scored a minimum of a 36AA.

2023 XCEL REGIONAL CAMP

SAVE THE DATE:  September 23 OR  September 24, 2023.

This is a one day camp – you chose the day you want to bring all your athletes. 

This camp is for athletes training gold and higher.

We would like to extend our condolences to the WVU family for the loss of an amazing person and coach. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends. After reading many articles and seeing all the social media posts, it’s is so obvious she touched so many lives. May she rest in peace.
